In February 2010 and March 2010 FKWT undertook the responsibility of fully funding the treatment (costing approximately £1000) of two acutely ill children in the village of Damas, Azad Kashmir. Kiran, an 8 year old child with a congenital heart disorder and Nabilah a 16 year old girl suffering from Raynaud's Disease. Both illnesses are extremely fatal and the prospect of long-term survival without treatment is slim, although treatment is available for these conditions, it is expensive especially for the parents of these children. Feroz Khan Welfare Trust took on the responsibility for funding their entire treatment, which had taken the burden off their parents. With treatment these children were able to have a prospective future and were given the opportunity to continue to enjoy active and healthy lives. There are many families in this region that face the same dilemma and which is why we so desperately rely on your help to enable us to help them overcome these challenges.
